Hit-and-run driver mows down 6-year-old girl on Bronx street, leaving her in critical condition

A hit-and-run driver struck a 6-year-old girl on a Bronx street Tuesday, leaving her critically hurt, police said.

The girl was crossing E. 172nd St. near Harrod Ave. in Soundview just after 4:50 p.m., when a vehicle going west struck her, police said.
