Pedestrian deaths rise in NYC during 2018, new city data show

Walking around New York City is a bit more dangerous today than it was a year ago.

New city data show pedestrian deaths in the city are up 4.7%, from 106 in 2017 to 111 in 2018 as of Dec. 27.

A dozen pedestrians have been killed on city streets so far this month.
