The three courageous cops who quickly engaged the Gilroy Garlic Festival gunman and shot him dead were identified and hailed as ‘heroes’ Thursday.
All three are longtime Gilroy Police officers with at least a decade on the force, Chief Scot Smithee said at an afternoon press conference.
